Be Kind story

The Be Kind team is a unique mix of beautiful women from all around the world. We came to Bali with the mission to connect with our authentic selves, to fully be alive and to follow our dreams. Each woman has different talents, but everyone in Be Kind is here to guide you, inspire you, support you and teach you.

We can’t wait to meet you in Be Kind

For me creating ‘Be Kind’ was a beautiful mission; a mission to change the pressure of perfection and to create a safe space for women to learn how to heal themselves. A mission to create a community full of kindness, without jealously, competition or judgement, but only belonging, support and love. In the end that is all we need from each other: to feel powerful as women together.

I believe in the power of holistic healing. Holistic means the ‘whole version’ of ourselves and I don’t believe ‘disorders’ fit into this. Whenever we struggle with something; it’s a sign we are disconnected from our true selves or holding onto traumas from our childhood.

I struggled myself with anorexia and couldn’t find the right space to heal. For me, only general therapy wasn’t enough. I wanted to dive deeper and find out why I created certain patterns in my life. The moment I combined different therapies, such as mirror work, emotion regulation, system therapy, trauma release therapy, only then I found the ‘whole’ version of myself and the reasons for creating unhealthy patterns. Combining all of this with kundalini yoga and meditation, helped me to fully overcome my mental struggles.

I want to support, guide and inspire other women in this world to heal themselves from their struggles. To make ‘the shift’. For me yoga and meditation are a big part of how I live my life. Yoga means to be kind to myself, to others and the Mother Nature. For me, yoga gives me the wings to heal, grow and to fully live.

Creating Be Kind is one of the biggest adventures in my life so far, so many beautiful lessons, teachings, inspirations from every single woman that I have met.

It has been a wonderful journey and I can’t want for more :)

founder - marketing - manager - a little of everything :)

I came to Bali for the first time three years ago. After some very difficult years I couldn’t stay in my home town, or even home country, anymore. I needed to leave and go to a place where I could rediscover myself. Where I could allow myself to heal and connect with myself on a deeper level. My intuition told me to go to the other side of the world, to Bali. This magical island is the place where for the first time in my life, I felt belonging, connection, love and peace. It’s the place where I finally met myself.

Never could I have imagined that I would be part of this amazing team and helping women heal on a weekly basis. Without having a background in psychology, yoga or even without knowing anything about spiritually and holistic healing, it might not have looked like a logical step. But I absolutely love how the universe works and how life unfolds itself. I truly belong in Be Kind and I am so incredibly grateful and honoured to be a part of this crazy adventure.

Be Kind is the best thing that has ever happend to me. Just like all the women who come to our retreats every week, I am still on my own path of healing. I learn more and more every day and I am in awe of how Loes, Linda and Javi guide other women in their healing journey . Women who have been struggling for years, but finally reconnect with themselves and make a shift in how they feel at Be Kind.

My deepest desire is to bring more self-love in this world, more healing, more real connections and a strong community of women supporting each other. Looking back at what Be Kind has become in the last 1,5 years, I can’t wait for what’s to come.

My first encounter with yoga began over six years ago without even noticing it. At that time, I struggled with unhealthy eating habits and feeling disconnected not even knowing from what. I always loved nature and plants and my journey started in the kitchen and farmer’s markets through learning about herbs, ayurveda and healing with food. From learning more about nourishment, it didn’t take me long until I visited my first yoga class. That took me to a whole other journey of exploration.

Over time it started being more and more clear to me that I wanted to learn more about myself through learning about the philosophy and ancient wisdom of yoga. I decided to leave for India to learn more and then I spent a few years on the road, traveling and discovering. I became aware how everything is interrelated: the way we think, breathe, move, speak, fuel and take care of ourselves have incredible influence on who we are, how we feel, and how we experience day to day life.

One of the biggest lessons was that even though we are on our own unique paths, it doesn’t mean we are alone. More than ever, I cherish connection with a community and especially other women. I love to hold space through women circles, full and new moon celebrations, yoga classes or cacao ceremonies to connect and share with each other.

I am proud to be part of Be Kind because it brings together all that I believe in: holistic healing, wisdom teaching and a community of women holding space for each other. Every week I am inspired by the women visiting Be Kind with their dedication and the way they show up for themselves. I believe when we start stepping into our own worth we show others they are powerful enough to step into theirs as well.

This is my dream come true.

Javi

intuitive coach - therapist - yoga and meditation teacher

My name is Javiera, I am from Chile and I have been living in Bali for 5 years.  The first time I came to Bali was 6 years ago and I completely fell in love with this island. In that moment of my life I used to worked in a bank, living a very traditional life and I just wanted a change.

A year after that holiday, I made the decision to come back to Bali, but this time, to live here. Bali has given me the opportunity to find my path and build a life that makes me feel complete and able to serve others.

I got my kundalini certification in India, I studied TRE and a life coaching training which complement my self-exploration to help others.  Be Kind allows me to meet and explore different stories from many women around the globe who come here in need to heal or find their own path. It's a real honor for me to have the chance to work with these beautiful women and help them connect with themselves . It's so beautiful to see how they improve with each session. And provide tools to continue their journey when they are back home. I am so proud to be present in the "before and after" of each story, each life of every woman that comes to Be Kind.

Then we have our amazing housekeeper Bagus, our wonderful driver and surf instructor Jim and a group of amazing, energetic and sparkling yoga and meditation teachers who step in whenever needed.
